Greeting attendees as they arrived at Versa Grandview for the inaugural LUXE Cbus, were Christy Farnbach and Arien Lawless, both of the National Association of Women Business Owners Columbus Chapter, the event’s beneficiary. Attendees shopped the boutiques and got to know the independent designers, who were personally representing their lines. Everyone enjoyed brunch provided by Together and Company, Sweet Carrot, Short North Piece of Cake, and The Kitchen while being entertained by DJ Clint Campbell. They could relax in the VIP lounge sponsored by Cats Only Veterinary Clinic after securing their raffle ticket for a $500 gift card donated by Easton.
The runway show MC’d by Michaela Hunt opened with a few words from Executive Director of NAWBO Columbus Christy Farnbauch, the beneficiary of the event about the organization's policy advocacy efforts. Courtney Elson of Elson Photography and Dave Toth of Toth photography, as well as Tiffany Stacey of Tiffany Stacey Photography and Video, were on hand to record the event.
The Columbus based brand Isa by CCAD student Tracy Powell kicked off the show styled by Carrie Hagee of Storyteller Stylist. Volunteer community models rocked the runway showcasing Louisville based brand Anastasi by designer Renae Kotarski, Etna, Ohio’s Molly Pletcher of Wear Molly Art, Chic and Unique Expressions by Wanda Bronston-Grigsby and Sharon Spence Williams from Dayton, and Toledo-based designer Lynn Saad of L Leslie Designs. All fashions were accessorized by Portage Embellished Handbags by co-founder of LUXE Valerie Jones and co-founder of LUXE Lisa Robin Adkinson of Lisa Robin Jewelry, both from Dayton.
